SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this position you will support the Government division of the company in all aspects of payroll and benefits processes as well as daily operations including but not limited to: onboarding, payroll and benefits administration and reporting, employee relations and tracking employment information of our associates, (contract, temp, temp to full-time and full-time, etc…). Contribute to the professional standing of company by providing associates, clients, partners, the field and corporate with timely and outstanding customer service.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS (each duty and function listed indicates % of time):

  • Prepare and process accurate and on-time biweekly and/or weekly payroll for federal government contract associates on assignment throughout the United States. (90%)
  • Print, and/or download, review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets, time invoices and any other time reporting documents and/or electronic entries. (80%)
  • Track and deduct all paid and unpaid days off and other special payroll deductions accurately, (i.e. Benefits, Vacation, Sick, Holiday, Military, Jury Duty, FMLA, PTO, etc...). (70%)
  • Ensure on-time benefits enrollment, administration, and accurate reporting, (Medical, 401k, etc…). (50%)
  • Track leaves of absence. (5%)
  • Track Worker’s Compensation claims. (5%)
  • Coordinate efforts between clients, payroll, human resources, accounting and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports). (75%)
  • Handle the administration of all manual and electronic timekeeping systems efficiently and accurately. (90%)
  • Establish and maintain all employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis, (including all new hire and termination paperwork). (90%)
  • Process travel/training requests and reimbursements. (5%)
  • Process unemployment claims. (5%)
  • Process background checks. (5%)
  • Process employment verifications. (5%)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferably 1-2 years as a payroll administrator with heavy benefits administration for employees in multiples states, (federal government and federal government contracting experience is highly preferred).
  • Must be able to handle a very high volume of continuous varying payroll, benefits and on-boarding processes remotely nationwide with constant and ever-changing unexpected issues as they arise in a highly professional, composed, informed and dignified manner.

COMPUTER/SYSTEM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced level working knowledge and proven experience using Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and the Internet.
  • Experience with Fieldglass, WebRecruiter, Office Automation (OA) Classic and Net, TAP and ERP is strongly preferred.

Eligible employees can enroll with an effective date the first of the month following 60 days of employment. A minimum of 6 paid sick days are offered per year unless part time or covered under a local ordinance that requires a greater number of paid sick days. Paid time off accrues immediately at 2 hours per semi-monthly pay period for full time employees, and a prorated amount for part time employees based on the percentage of a 40 hour work week worked. Accrual increases with tenure at certain anniversary dates. The Company offers 11 paid holidays.

The Company also offers a 401k program with an employer match, with employee contributions beginning the month following enrollment.
